Meet the Author
Kim lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband and a sweet orange cat named Rusty. She was an educator for forty years, having taught students of all ages from first grade through the university level. She has always enjoyed the thrill of teaching reading! She believes reading gives people a lightbulb that allows them to see and observe the world, learn about faraway places and people, and help themselves and others. Kim is happy to share these poems with you! Her poetry is joyful, imaginative, and gives you a picture in your mind of the beauty all around us!

Meet the illustrator
Paige Billin-Frye lives in a tree-lined neighborhood in Washington, DC, where she gathers inspiration from the people around her and their gardens, pets, and children. She has illustrated over thirty books for children, and for five years, her illustrations brought Beatrice Black Bear to life in each issue of Click Magazine. When she isn’t illustrating, Paige switches from digital work to making paper-based art, specifically hand bookbinding and historical process photography. She studied graphic design and illustration at Washington University in St. Louis, and she previously worked in retail advertising design and as an illustrator for Hallmark Cards.
