Matthew Sam Prendergast is a professor of composition and creative writing at a Midwestern university. He holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Illinois and an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. He has published numerous works of short prose and poetry. He lives in Chicago with his dog and cat.
