“Felix is a big-hearted story about a bird who refuses to be anything but himself. A joyful reminder that when you stay true to who you are and dance to your own rhythm, the world can’t help but dance along!”
—Paige Haight, award-winning producer and Director of Television at Shaftesbury
“This is an absolutely adorable book for kids. I’m always looking for books that my granddaughter would like, and this one is a keeper. The illustrations are perfect; the colors are engaging. This book is definitely one that she would hold as she danced around the room, just like Felix. I highly recommend Felix!”
—D. K. Marley, owner, CEO, and editor-in-chief of Historium Press

Meet the illustrator
Laurie’s love of drawing began at age three while crayoning her way up the staircase. Those crayons were quickly replaced with pencils, paints, and paper. After graduating from both art and animation schools, she started to illustrate children’s books, designing characters for animation studios and products for licensing.
